Paul began his working career as a teenager working as a labourer for his late father’s construction business in Northern Ireland which instilled a strong work ethic from an early age. After attending Saint Patrick’s Boarding School, Paul then studied Estate Management at the University of Central England, before becoming a Member of the Royal Institute of chartered Surveyors. Paul then embarked on a long and varied career as a Chartered Surveyor in Birmingham, London, Dublin, Belfast, Bahrain and Seville.
In 2012 Paul decided to harness his experience and broaden his skillset by undertaking an intensive full time MBA at Ulster University.
In recent times, Paul has spent several years living in the Middle East working closely with the Department of International Trade, Invest Northern Ireland and many of the prominent trading families across the Middle East in developing high value export business for a number of UK companies operating across a wide variety of different industries and markets.
MBA qualified with a high degree of common sense, Paul has over 25 years of cross functional experience in exporting, sales, franchising, marketing, business development, company direction and strategic management.
Paul is highly cognisant of cultural idiosyncrasies and has a demonstrable ability to manage business operations across diverse cultures in competitive and rapidly changing international business environments.
A serial entrepreneur, Paul has founded, developed and launched a number of businesses and enjoys mentoring and guiding early stage innovators, new start-ups and budding entrepreneurs as they embark on their challenging journey from proof of concept, through to developing business models which are robust enough to be launched and scaled both domestically and internationally.
Paul is happily married to Catherine and is the busy father and 24/7 mentor to Luke and Stella.
