Iain Smith began his career as an English teacher teaching English as a foreign language to students in Tabora, Tanzania, Istanbul, and Leeds Metropolitan University throughout the 1990s. Since then, he has worked in coaching, and he now has over 14 years of experience. In 2007, he founded Iain Smith Coaching. There, he helps organisation leaders unlock their potential, delivering brilliant staff training. Iain has been a Finito Mentor since 2016, helping first-time job hunters make the transition from education to employment. He also has a strong connection to charity. In 2001, Iain founded Raincatcher, which improves water, sanitation, and hygiene in East Africa. Iain holds a Post Graduate Certificate in English education from the University of Cambridge, and a BA in English Literature from the University of Chichester which he earned with honours. He also holds a Diploma in coaching from The Coaching Academy, as well as a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from Leeds Beckett University.
